Five-star wing Kris Wilkes has ended his recruitment, announcing his commitment to UCLA.
The 6’8 North Central High (IN) product chose the Bruins over Indiana and Illinois, becoming their fifth commitment in the class. UCLA has long been thought to be Wilkes’ favorite as multiple media outlets reported.
Wilkes join top west coast point guard — Jaylen Hands (Scout.com, 27) — along with Cody Riley (Scout, No. 30), Chuck O’Bannon (No. 82), Jalen Hill (No. 87) and guard LiAngelo Ball — the brother of Bruin’s freshman sensation, Lonzo Ball.
Wilkes averaged 18.3 ppg, 6.5rpg and 1.1spg for the Indiana Hoosiers in the Under Armour Association over the summer where he led his team to the Finals.
Ballboy Hype will have more on this story in a few.
