Wendell Carter Commits to Duke

One of the top big men in the country, Wendell Carter, has committed to Coach K’s Duke Blue Devils.

The 6’10 post player out of Atlanta’s Pace Academy (GA), chose the Blue Devils over Harvard, Georgia and Georgia Tech after visiting the school back in October. Carter had been in talks with fellow Duke commit Gary Trent for time now about potentially doing a package-deal as the two became friends over the summer circuit. Over the summer, the two were integral parts of the USA U17 team that won the gold medal in Spain.

Carter played in the Nike EYBL circuit during the AAU season where he averaged 16.8ppg, 10.2 rpg and 2.5bpg for Team CP3.

Carter is the Blue Devils third commit joining Trent and 6’6 sharpshooter Alex O’Connell.
