St. Benedict’s Big Man Commits to Cuse
Syracuse received some good news yesterday when St. Benedict’s (NJ) 6’10 big man Bourama Sidibe committed to the Orange.
The Mali native chose the ‘Cuse over Texas Tech and Oklahoma State after being sought out by programs such as Maryland, Memphis, Seton Hall and many others. Sidibe took his official visit to the New York school two weeks ago and had a chance to see the Orange play against Colgate in their season-opener.
Sidibe is the second commit of the 2017 recruiting class joining Canadian athletic forward Oshae Brissett out of Orangeville Prep. Syracuse fans are still regathering after missing out on five-star point guard Quade Green, who chose Kentucky over the Orange.
Top Junior Point Guard Trims List to Eight
Class of 2018 top point guard Immanuel Quickley has trimmed his list of schools down to eight with Duke, Kansas, Washington, Maryland, Providence, Virginia, Kentucky and Miami all making the cut.
The 6’2 guard out of John Carroll School (MD) has yet to receive an offer from Duke and Kansas, but has taken visits to the school this fall.
Quickley told Scout.com, basketball season is here now along with academics picking up. I just want to get it out of the way a little bit. I think that’s the next step in making my decision.”
Over the summer, Quickley helped the USA U17 team win the Gold medal in Spain where he teamed up with Duke commit Gary Trent and many other five-star prospects.
