TREY DUVAL CUTS LIST TO FIVE

The No. 1 point guard in the class of 2017, Trey Duval, has cut his list of schools, according to his twitter.

Duval, who recently transferred to IMG Academy (FL) this season, has shortened his list to five schools with Seton Hall, Arizona, Kansas, Baylor and Duke all remaining, leaving out programs such as Maryland, California and St. John’s all not making the cut.

The crafty guard, who helped his WeR1 squad win the Under Armour Finale this summer, recently reopened his recruitment back in October after hearing from college coaches that they had an idea where he was going to commit to. Duval believed that reopening his recruitment would give each coach a fair chance of recruiting him and selling him and family on their program.

CARTER SETS ANNOUNCEMENT DATE

Five-star big man Wendell Carter is set to announce his college decision.

The 6’10 physical specimen has set an announcement date of November 23, according to Evan Daniels of Scout.com. Carter is down to Duke, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Harvard with the Blue Devils being the favorite of the bunch. Carter has talked about potentially doing a package-deal with Duke commit Gary Trent — who committed to the program last week.
