DIALLO CUTS LIST
Putnam Science Academy (CT) five-star prospect, Hamidou Diallo, has cut his list to six remaining schools.
Arizona, Indiana, Kansas, UConn, Kentucky and Syracuse have all made the 6’6 super athletic guard’s list. Diallo — a fifth year senior — have also been in talks of possibly bypassing college and entering the 2017 NBA Draft in June.
Although Diallo have been on multiple visits to UConn and Syracuse unofficially, the New York City native has yet to set any official visits to the schools.
Listed as Scout.com No.10 prospect in the Class of 2017, Diallo has reiterated many times that he does not plan to sign early as he will most likely make a decision in the spring.
LA LUMIERE BOWEN CANCELS UCLA VISIT
Five-star wing Brian Bowen has cancelled his official visit to UCLA, according to multiple reports.
The 6’7 aggressive scorer was leaning towards the UCLA until multiple reports came out that Kris Wilkes, another five-star wing, was almost set to commit to the Los Angeles county school. Bowen took a visit to NC State today instead after visiting Arizona this past weekend.
PRESTON FOCUSED ON FOUR
Top 20 Oak Hill (VA) forward Billy Preston says he is focusing on four schools although he remains open.
Preston told Brett Regan of FloHoops.com, “I’m pretty open but I kind of got a feeling on where it’s between. It’s between four schools — Kansas, Indiana, Syracuse and USC. But I’m still open, so it’s not like I’m closing my recruitment or cutting my list or anything. But that’s just four main schools that are really in mind right now.”
A 6’10 athletic forward with a NBA ready body, Preston has visited all four schools with the latest coming this past weekend at USC. Preston has told Adam Zagoria of SNY.tv, that he will most likely sign late.
