Vermont Academy (VT) sharpshooter forward, Jordan Nwora, is off the boards.
The 6’7 versatile forward announced via his Twitter that he has committed to Rick Pitino’s Louisville Cardinals after visiting the school this past weekend.
“After visiting Louisville, I was overwhelmed with support from coaches, players, fans and the community. As a result of the combination of this support, the strength of Louisville basketball program and academics, I have decided to commit to the University of Louisville. Go Cards.”
When asked what were some of the main factors in his decision, Nwora told Evan Daniels of Scout.com, “They said they have everything I need to get to the next level. Being a hall of fame coach I know Pitino can get me to where I want to be in the long run. I feel like playing for him and coach Johnson I’ll be able to be a really good player and it will help me off the court too.”
Nwora, who recently transferred to Vermont Academy (VT) from Buffalo’s Park School (NY), gained a lot of attention this summer playing with the New York Rens in the Nike EYBL circuit where he displayed his ability to be a reliable outside shooter. The big wing shot 39 percent form the beyond the field while averaging 14.9ppg and 6.1rpg for the Rens over the summer.
Nwora is Louisville’s third commit from the class of 2017, joining top 100 point guard Darius Perry and Indiana big man Malik Williams.
