One of college basketball’s top scorers, Jack Gibbs, will miss 2-3 weeks with a shoulder injury, according to ESPN’s Jeff Goodman.
The Davidson star suffered the injury yesterday at the end of practice, although head coach Bob McKillop says tests came back negative.
Gibbs was the fifth scoring leader in the NCAA last season after averaging 23.5ppg, 4.1rpg and 4.9apg as a sophomore. The 6’1 “scorelord” managed to score 40 plus points in three games last season with a 43 point game against UMass being his career-high.
Gibbs is expected back for the Wildcats season-opener.
