Prolific Prep (CA) five-star shooting guard Gary Trent Jr. is now down to his final three schools.
The 6’5 sharpshooter told Pat Lawless of Made Hoops that he is now down to Duke, Michigan State and UCLA with Kentucky and Arizona not making the cut. Many believe Duke is the frontrunner as he has been linked to a potential package-deal with Top 5 forward Wendell Carter.
Trent gave a breakdown for all three programs:
Duke: With them the main attraction is Coach K, his message whenever he speaks is just different. They have a great tradition and know how to get their players to the next level.
Michigan State: Michigan State has had great players that have gone to the NBA and Coach Izzo is one of the best coaches of all time.
UCLA: I really enjoyed my visit there a couple of weeks ago and it was a great learning and enjoyable experience for me.
